Important rules and regulations for student participation

Student Selection Process

The Innovation Programme follows a merit-based selection process to ensure fair participation:

  • Registration Review: All submitted registrations will be reviewed by the Innovation Programme committee.
  • Academic Performance: Students' academic records and attendance will be considered.
  • Technical Assessment: Based on coding knowledge, hardware experience, and project interests.
  • Motivation & Interest: Quality of motivation statement and project ideas will be evaluated.
  • Resource Availability: Students with access to required resources (WiFi, computer) will be prioritized.
  • Final Shortlist: Selected students will be notified via email and school notice board.

Project Selection Rules

Students have flexibility in choosing their innovation projects with the following guidelines:

  • Open Selection: Any student can select any project from the catalogue regardless of class level.
  • Multiple Choices: Students can select up to 3 projects during registration.
  • Final Assignment: The programme committee will assign one project based on student skills and availability.
  • Difficulty Matching: Projects will be assigned considering students' technical capabilities.
  • Resource Requirements: Students must have access to required hardware/software for their assigned project.
  • Project Changes: Project changes are allowed only in the first week with committee approval.

Parental Consent & Investment

Parental involvement is crucial for the success of the Innovation Programme:

  • NOC Letter Required: Students must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from parents/guardians.
  • Financial Commitment: Parents must agree to invest in project materials (typically ₹200-800 depending on project).
  • Time Commitment: Parents should support students in dedicating 4-6 hours per week for project work.
  • Extra Support: Parents must ensure students can attend classes and workshops(online mode during holidays).
  • Progress Monitoring: Parents should regularly monitor and encourage their child's progress.
  • Submission Deadline: NOC and commitment letter must be submitted within 7 days of selection.

Student Conduct & Discipline

Maintaining discipline and academic integrity is essential for programme success:

  • Regular Attendance: Students must attend all scheduled classes and workshops (minimum 75% attendance required).
  • Project Deadlines: All project milestones and deadlines must be met without exception.
  • Academic Honesty: Plagiarism or copying from external sources will result in immediate removal.
  • Equipment Care: School property and equipment must be handled with care and responsibility.
  • Team Collaboration: Students must work cooperatively with team members and respect peers.
  • Internet Safety: Proper use of internet and online resources is mandatory.
⚠️ Important Notice - Programme Violations

The school reserves the right to remove any student from the Innovation Programme if they violate the guidelines:

  • First Warning: Formal warning for minor violations with 7-day improvement period.
  • Programme Termination: Immediate removal for serious violations including cheating, vandalism, or misconduct.
  • No Refund: No refund of expences will be provided after removal.
  • Future Participation: Removed students cannot participate in future innovation programmes.

Certificate of Completion

Upon successful completion of the Innovation Programme, students will receive:

  • Official Certificate: Signed by the Principal.
  • Project Portfolio: Complete documentation of their innovation project.
  • Skills Assessment: Evaluation report of technical and soft skills developed.
  • Achievement Badge: Innovation Programme excellence badge for school website.

  • Safety First: All projects must follow safety guidelines and get teacher approval before implementation.
  • Documentation: Students must maintain a project journal with daily progress notes.
  • Resource Management: Students must manage project materials efficiently and report any losses.
  • Collaboration: Students are encouraged to collaborate and help each other in problem-solving.
  • Innovation: Original ideas and creative solutions will be specially recognized and rewarded.
  • Time Management: Students must balance regular studies with innovation project work.
